Common questions about CreditLift, disputes, certified mail, and USPS tracking.
How does CreditLift work?
You upload a credit report, pick items to dispute, we generate FCRA-compliant dispute letters for your review, and once approved we mail them via USPS Certified Mail.
How do disputes actually work?
Under the FCRA, the credit bureau has up to 30 days from the date they receive your letter to investigate and respond. Certified Mail proves the bureau received it, which is what starts the clock.
Why does certified mail matter?
Certified Mail with Return Receipt is the gold standard for credit disputes. Tracking proves USPS accepted the letter, the return receipt proves the bureau got it, and the 30-day FCRA response window starts on delivery.
How long do bureau responses take?
Most bureaus respond within 30–45 days of delivery. Some disputes require multiple rounds — that's normal. We'll automatically surface escalation options if the bureau misses the FCRA deadline.
How do I upload a bureau response?
Open Bureau Responses from the main menu, tap 'Upload a response', and attach the PDF or scan you received from the bureau. We'll link it to the matching case and tell you what to do next.
Common USPS questions
USPS Certified Mail typically takes 2–5 business days to deliver. Tracking updates appear on USPS.com — we mirror them on your case timeline. If tracking shows 'delivered' but you have not received a response within 30 days, your case will surface follow-up options.
Payment FAQ
Payments cover certified mail postage and printing. Letters not yet handed off to USPS may be cancelled for a full refund via support.
Troubleshooting
If a page won't load, pull down to refresh. If a letter shows 'failed', contact support if the issue persists. Tracking sometimes lags a day behind USPS.com.
Still need help?
Our support team responds within 1–2 business days. The most common requests (re-mailing a letter, uploading a response, refunds for un-mailed letters) are handled via email.
