CreditLift is a software tool that helps consumers prepare, review, and mail dispute letters to the major U.S. credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) via USPS Certified Mail. The service is operated by Hourglass Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). You ("you", "the user") use the service to organize your own disputes — we do not act on your behalf as a representative, agent, or fiduciary.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of every dispute item, address, and supporting document you upload. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent claims through the service. You agree to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") and all other applicable state and federal laws.
3. No guarantee of outcome
Credit dispute outcomes depend on the credit bureaus, the data furnishers, and the factual basis of each disputed item. CreditLift does not promise, guarantee, or warrant any specific outcome — including removal, correction, or score improvement. Past results do not predict future outcomes.
4. Beta participation
The service is currently in Open Beta. Features may change, be disabled, or be removed during the beta. You agree to provide feedback if invited, and you understand that beta software may contain bugs or limitations not present in a production release. We may pause or terminate the beta at our discretion.
5. Electronic communications consent
By accepting these terms you consent to receive operational notifications by email regarding your dispute lifecycle, USPS tracking, payment confirmations, and bureau responses. You may opt out of non-essential email categories in your account settings. You will continue to receive emails legally required by the dispute process.
6. Acceptable use
You may not (a) use the service for any unlawful purpose, (b) attempt to access another user's account, (c) reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service, (d) submit knowingly false information, or (e) use the service to harass or defraud any party.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Refunds
Postage and printing charges for letters that have already been handed off to USPS are non-refundable. Letters that have not yet been printed may be cancelled for a full refund via the support team.
9. Account termination
You may close your account at any time via support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to commit fraud, or pose a risk to other users or the service. We will preserve your dispute records as required by law.
10. Dispute resolution
Disputes between you and CreditLift will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then through binding arbitration if necessary.
